Little Britain Series 1 DVD Review

Little Britain series one featured eight episodes and was based on the BBC Radio 4 programme of the same name. Following the Jamie Theakston presented TV show Rock profile; starring both David Walliams and Matt Lucas the pair's next foray into stardom was the TV version of their comedy radio show.

First released in 2004, the original series is regarded by some as the best and was described by Heat magazine as "the funniest sketch show in years"

Later spawning its own range of Little Britain fancy dress, the series included the debuts of characters Andy and Lou and also Vicky Pollard.

With narration by the comedy duo of Walliams and Lucas's favourite Doctor Who, Tom Baker, the series went on to become a BAFTA award winner and ended its initial run as a moderate success.
