Dafydd Thomas
"The stone path is quite treacherous"
Dafydd Thomas was born in the small Welsh mining village of Llandewi Breffi in 1980. He left school early in protest of not being allowed to stage 'Bent' as the end of year school play. Dafydd went on to study at a local sixth form college where he gained three A-Levels in Homosexualist Studies, Gayology and Woodwork.
Dafydd Thomas has never worked blaming "institutionalised hetrosexualist anti-gay homophobia".
Dafydd has appeared on BBC Wales many times, most recently when he staged a one man sit-down protest outside the Llandwefi Breffi Village Church when St. Matthew was chosen over Will Young as the subject for a new stained-glass window.
Dressed all in silver with white fluffy angel wings Dafydd once had a gay and lesbian stall at the Llandewi Breffi village fete. His customers included an elderly woman and the Llandewi Breffi vicar and his boyfriend that he met in his previous parish of Merthyr Tydfil.
In one Little Britain Abroad Dafydd sketch, Dafydd is trolling the beach in Mykonos looking for gays to hand his flyers to advertising Myfanwy's gay bar. Passing by guys massaging and kissing each other one gay finally stops Dafydd to whom Dafydd questions "have you ever touched a mans winkle"
The US TV network that broadcasted Little Britain USA, HBO described Daffyd as being "the only gay in the small village of Llandewi Breffi in Wales. He has come to study at a university in North Carolina". In one Little Britain USA Dafydd sketch we see the Welsh chubber banging on his neighbours door at his University campus and asking to keep the noise down, once confronted with the two lesbians Dafydd's response is uuuurrrrrrr!
Did You Know? Daffyd Thomas Is gay.
